About

The heart, the hope, and the people behind this project.

Our Team

A diverse mix of creatives who share a deep love for the God who created us, a passion for pursuing biblical truth, and a reliance on Jesus as The Way back to God.  We also find ourselves constantly inspired by stories of all kinds, people of all kinds, and pizza of all kinds, not necessarily in that order.

Statement of Faith

While at its core, this story is a morality tale anchored in the Christian faith, we want to honor the fact that everyone will bring their own personal worldview with them into the experience.  To that end, here’s a short overview of what we believe, because it’s the beating heart behind this entire project:

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there’s one God (Yahweh), who existed before time and continues to exist as: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We take Jesus at his word when he said ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NIV).  We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

Our Hope

As Christian creators, our art is fueled by our passion for life and our gratitude for the God who created us. We want to tell a story that stirs something inside the hearts and minds of readers–Causing them to look up and wonder if there might be a God out there who’s willing to move heaven and earth to reconnect with them.  And when this story is over, our hope is that those readers will know the answer to that question.

No.  This project is in no way related to The Way International organization.

That show is amazing, and we love Star Wars, but this project is in no way related to The Mandolorian.

“The Way” is one of the earliest terms used to describe what is now known as Christianity (Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22). It evokes the idea of a path or route that God has made available through Jesus (John 14:6-7) that leads back him.

The term “Yahweh” comes from the Hebrew word YHWH, which through its long and winding history of translation through several languages (Hebrew, Greek, and English) is one of several names for God. Following the Jewish exile into Babylon in the 6th century B.C., the term began to take on an increasingly sacred standing among the other names which described God, so much so that many within the Jewish faith withheld speaking the word aloud, out of reference for God. For that reason, we often refer to this project simply as The Way.

Yes! While the story will deal with mature, real-world situations and conflicts, the content will be delivered in a PG-13 tone without any profanity, explicit sexual content, or gratuitous violence. Our primary goal however, is to simply tell an authentic story about the human experience, and how that experience can connect us back to God through Jesus.

We created The Way as a love letter to all of us who are struggling with the brokenness of life, and to the God who specializes in working with all those broken pieces to create something new.
